As Head of Regional Standards, South Asia at UL Standards & Engagement, Dr. Swati Singh leads regional initiatives to advance the development, harmonization, and adoption of safety standards across South Asia. In this capacity, she works to strengthen regulatory ecosystems, promote stakeholder engagement, and support regional preparedness for emerging technologies and safety-related priorities, in alignment with ULSE’s global objectives.
Dr. Singh has more than 17 years of professional experience spanning teaching, research, policy advocacy, international negotiations, and industry capacity building. Her academic and research contributions include a book chapter and several publications in internationally recognized journals, with a focus on international trade, e-governance, and trade facilitation. She has also conducted training programs and workshops on Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), MSME export competitiveness, trade and sustainability, supply chain integration, and wider trade policy matters.
Before UL Standards & Engagement, Dr. Singh has worked with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Centre for Regional Trade (CRT), the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
