Diana Rico holds a master’s degree in international Trade from Universidad Anáhuac and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Additionally, she has a diploma in Legal Aspects of Foreign Trade from the same university. She has furthered her education with certifications in regulation and development in Latin America from institutions such as the Public Administration Division and the Doctoral Program in Public Policy at CIDE, the Centre for Analysis of Risk and Regulation at the London School of Economics and Political Science, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the General Directorate of Standards (DGN).

She currently serves as a Regional Manager at UL Standards & Engagement, leading technical standardization activities in Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean. In this role, she coordinates regional strategies to promote the adoption of safety and sustainability standards aligned with ULSE’s global objectives.

Diana also has experience in Mexican foreign trade, having worked in customs agencies and completed an internship at the Ministry of Economy, specifically in the DGN’s international affairs division.
