UL Standards & Engagement's Aviation Safety Report Featured in The Washington Post

Although a rare occurrence, vape pens can and do catch fire. UL Standards & Engagement’s recent report shows that 35% of all battery related smoke and fire incidents were caused by vape pens, double the rate of those caused by cell phones and portable power banks.

Even with the small risk of two incidents per week reported, there are critical steps that can be taken by every passenger to prevent the risk of vape pen-related fires. Read more in The Washington Post's latest article by Shira Ovide.
