Learn About Key Updates to UL4600, the Standard for Safety for the Evaluation of Autonomous Products
UL 4600, the Standard for Safety for the Evaluation of Autonomous Products, addresses the ability of autonomous products such as self-driving cars to perform safely without human intervention. It covers computer-based system aspects of autonomous operation and its requirements help to ensure that a comprehensive safety case is in place to address changes required from traditional safety practices to accommodate autonomy. It is one of the most popular UL standards in terms of readership and has undergone some new developments since the publication of its first edition in April 2020.
