
Randi’s work covers a wide range of batteries, energy storage systems, electric vehicles, solar, wind, e-mobility devices like e-scooters, and other technologies connected to the electrification industry.
As Director of Standards Programs at UL Standards & Engagement, Randi Myers leads the Electrification Program in standards development for batteries, energy storage, electric vehicles, e-mobility, distributed energy, solar and wind energies, generators, battery safety in aviation, and performance materials (plastics). At ULSE, she leads a team of technical committee chairs and project managers who oversee committees, stakeholders, and standards development accreditation programs across global standards development, education and advocacy.
Randi also serves in the role of International Electrotechnical Commission Secretariat for IEC Technical Committee 61, Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances, a role she assumed in 2016, and she previously served as the Secretary for the U.S. National Committee for the International Commission on Illumination.
Randi is a member of the UL William Henry Merrill Society as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, Class of 2024, and recipient of the American National Standards Institute’s 2024 Meritorious Service Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to the U.S. voluntary standardization system.
Randi holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Electronics Technology from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a minor in International Studies, from the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business, San Jose State University.
