Katie Denis is head of communications for UL Standards & Engagement, leading outreach for the organization’s growing advocacy program and increasing awareness of the importance of standards in shaping a safer, more sustainable world.
An experienced communications strategist, Denis joined UL Standards & Engagement from the Consumer Brands Association, where she served as vice president of communications and research. Denis had previously led the “Project: Time Off” initiative, a behavior change campaign aimed at getting Americans to use vacation time, as a vice president at the U.S. Travel Association. She also has held communications roles at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Vehr Communications, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate.
Denis has a B.A. in journalism and political science from Indiana University.
