Celebrating the Fourth Annual World Anti-Counterfeiting Week
Can you tell the difference between real and fake products? According to OpSec’s research, 59% of consumers have trouble identifying authentic products when shopping online. At the same time, 87% of consumers who bought a counterfeit product report suffering negative consequences from financial loss to illness and injury.
From Nov. 14 to 18, 2022, Be Safe Buy Real celebrated its fourth annual World Anti-Counterfeiting Week. To educate consumers about the harmful effects of counterfeit products, the program delivers safety information on anti-counterfeiting in the form of stories, videos, infographics, safety facts, and interviews while working with educators, professionals, law enforcement, and industry experts. The campaign has been established as consumers’ go-to resource for anti-counterfeiting information with four safety topics: consumer safety, human health, digital safety, and home safety.
