UL Standards & Engagement and ANAPCI Establish Formal Partnership
Organizations agree to collaborate in furthering their respective efforts to strengthen fire safety in Chile.
UL Standards & Engagement, a U.S.-based global standards developer, and the National Association of Fire Protection in Chile, a Chilean organization dedicated to the advancement of fire safety through professional development and regulatory framework, are pleased to announce the signing of a collaborative memorandum of understanding.
The agreement was signed virtually on August 6, 2024. The objective of the MOU is to share knowledge and strengthen fire safety in Chile through standardization. Through this strategic alliance, ULSE and ANAPCI agree to promote mutual communication, share resources, avoid duplication of work efforts, and increase knowledge of each other’s standards development activities — allowing for the adoption, reference, translation and use of UL standards, as deemed appropriate by ANAPCI.
The MOU is the latest development for both organizations in their shared history of advancing fire safety awareness in Chile. While ULSE and ANAPCI have been actively collaborating on efforts prior to the MOU signing, the agreement specifies joint goals and initiatives for moving forward.
“At UL Standards & Engagement, we are deeply committed to raising awareness and providing education in Latin America to promote the use of standards that contribute to a safer society,” said Sonya Bird, vice president of international standards. at UL Standards & Engagement. “Partnerships with organizations like ANAPCI help advance our mission of working for a safer world."
