Masterclass Series with India Energy Storage Alliance: UL 1974, Standard for Evaluation for Repurposing Batteries
Throughout 2023, UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) and the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) will hold a joint masterclass webinar series on safety and standards for energy storage systems (ESS). The series will address current issues and trends in the energy storage industry, while also providing information on the standards intended to address these issues.
This webinar series is geared for stakeholders in industries related to energy storage systems and is intended to help advance research opportunities. Topics in the series were identified as priority areas for participants from India.
In this webinar, UL Solutions Principal Engineers LaTanya Schwalb and Rebecca Le will present UL 1974, the Standard for Evaluation for Repurposing Batteries, providing a detailed overview of the Standard and a user perspective on Standard implementation. The speakers will also discuss implementation challenges and answer questions during a closing Q&A session.
